Choosing suitable atmosphere sintering for different materials is helpful to the sintering process, improve the densification of products and obtain products with good properties. Vacuum atmosphere furnaces commonly use various atmospheres such as vacuum, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and inert gas (such as argon). For example, transparent alumina ceramics can be sintered in hydrogen atmosphere, transparent ferroelectric ceramics should be sintered in oxygen atmosphere, and nitride ceramics such as aluminum nitride should be sintered in nitrogen atmosphere. Sometimes, in order to protect the sintering coordination, it is also necessary to operate in a protective atmosphere. For example, the molybdenum wire furnace should be filled with hydrogen, and the tungsten wire furnace should work under vacuum.
Vacuum atmosphere furnace is a new heat treatment technology combining vacuum technology and heat treatment technology. The vacuum environment of vacuum heat treatment refers to the atmosphere environment below one atmospheric pressure, including low vacuum, medium vacuum, high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum. Vacuum heat treatment actually belongs to atmosphere controlled heat treatment. Vacuum heat treatment refers to that all and part of the heat treatment process is carried out in vacuum. Vacuum heat treatment can realize almost all the heat treatment processes involved in conventional heat treatment, but the quality of heat treatment is greatly improved. Compared with conventional heat treatment, vacuum heat treatment can realize no oxidation, decarburization and carburization, remove phosphorus chips on the workpiece surface, degrease and degassing, so as to achieve the effect of bright surface purification.
